What is a vCard?

A vCard is a standard contact file (.vcf): a small file holding name, phone, email, company, address and sometimes a photo. It is recognised by almost every address book — iPhone, Android, Outlook, Google Contacts — making it the most universal way to exchange details.

Where the format comes from

The vCard is an open standard published by the IETF: version 3.0 in RFC 2426, version 4.0 in RFC 6350. Because it belongs to no one, it works everywhere, without depending on a particular app or service.

How it works on bloo.Cards
