What is a digital business card?

A digital business card (also called an electronic or virtual business card) is a personal web page that gathers your contact details, links and professional content. It is shared by link, QR code or NFC chip, opens in any smartphone's browser without an app, and can be edited at any time.

Unlike a paper card, it never goes out of date: a new number, job title or photo is visible at once to everyone who has your card. Whoever receives it saves your details to their contacts in one tap (vCard file).

bloo.Cards is a digital business card platform designed in Belgium by Molderez-Consult SRL, hosted in the European Union and GDPR-compliant. The basic card is free for life.

Six ways to share your card

One card, one address: whichever way you share it, your contact always lands on the latest version of your profile.

  • A link

To paste into a message, an e-mail, a social profile or your website.

  • A QR code

On your phone screen, a badge, a shop window or a printed document. An offline version even carries your contact details.

  • An NFC chip

A PVC card, a sticker or a tag: the other person holds their phone near it and the card opens.

  • A contact card (vCard)

A .vcf file your contact saves straight into their address book.

  • An e-mail signature

Every e-mail you send points to your card.

  • A card exchange

Between members, each card lands in the other's Wallet; visitors without an account can write to you or save your contact card.

Create your digital business card in three steps

No technical skills are needed and there is nothing to install.

  1. Create your free account

An e-mail address is enough, no credit card. The free card stays free for life.

  2. Fill in your profile

Contact details, photo, job title, links; then a layout and a colour theme (4 layouts free, 15 with Pro, 85 themes).

  3. Share it

Show your QR code, send your link or order an NFC card. Edit your profile whenever you like: nothing to reprint.

Paper or digital business card?

The paper card remains a polite gesture; the digital card takes over for everything after the meeting. The two combine well: a QR code printed on the back of a paper card leads to your up-to-date profile.

Frequently asked questions

What is a digital business card?

It is a personal web page that replaces the paper business card: your contact details, links and professional content gathered at a single address. It is shared by link, QR code or NFC chip, opens in the phone's browser without an app and can be updated at any time, with no reprint.

Is a digital business card really free?

Yes. At bloo.Cards the free card is free for life, with no credit card: contact details, 3 social networks of your choice, vCard, QR code, sharing link, 4 layouts and 7-day statistics. Paid plans start at €4.99/month (€3.99/month yearly) and add all 34 modules, 15 layouts and four languages.

Is an app needed to open the card?

No. Your card opens in any smartphone's browser, after a QR code scan, an NFC tap or a click on your link. Neither you nor the person receiving it has anything to install, and no account is needed to view it or save your details.

How does an NFC business card work?

The card holds a small chip that passes on your profile's address. The other person holds their phone near the card and your profile opens, with no app. The chip has no battery and only contains that link. For phones without NFC, the QR code printed on the same card does the same job.

What if I change my number or job?

You edit your profile online and the new version is visible at once, everywhere: the QR code, NFC chip and link you have already handed out keep leading to the same card, now up to date. That is the main difference with a paper card, which would have to be reprinted and handed out again after every change.

How does the person receiving my card save my details?

A button on the card downloads a contact card in vCard format, recognised by phone address books and e-mail software: name, job title, company, phone, e-mail and address arrive filled in. If they also have a bloo.Cards card, you can exchange cards: each one then lands in the other person's Wallet.

Can my card be shown in several languages?

Yes, on a paid plan: your card can be published in French, Dutch, German and English, which is useful in Belgium and Luxembourg. You enter your translations yourself or request an automatic translation from the back office; the free card is shown in its default language.

Does a digital business card suit a team or a company?

Yes. With Premium (€44.99/month), a company manages an unlimited number of cards from a single account, with central management and a change history. The contacts you meet are gathered in an address book you can export as CSV or vCard to your CRM. A tailor-made Corporate offer is available on quote.
